Ingredients
For the filling
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups pecan halves

Instructions
- Preheat the oven
Heat oven to 350°F (175°C). - Prepare the filling
In a large bowl, whisk together corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, vanilla, and salt until smooth. - Add pecans
Stir in the pecans. - Fill the crust
Pour mixture into the unbaked pie crust. - Bake
Bake for 50–60 minutes until the center is mostly set but still slightly jiggly. - Cool completely
Let the pie cool for at least 2 hours before slicing so the filling sets properly.
Tips for the Best Texture
- Toast the pecans first for deeper flavor.
- Cover crust edges with foil if they brown too quickly.
- Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
