- Let sit for 5–10 minutes until softened.
2. Heat the cream mixture
- In a saucepan, combine:
- heavy cream
- milk
- sugar
- Heat over medium-low until sugar dissolves and mixture is hot but not boiling.
3. Add gelatin
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in vanilla.
- Add softened gelatin and whisk until completely dissolved.
4. Pour and chill
- Divide mixture into ramekins or glasses.
- Refrigerate at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
5. Serve
- Serve directly in glasses or unmold onto plates.
- Add your favorite toppings before serving.
Tips
- Don’t boil the cream or the texture can become grainy.
- Lightly greasing ramekins helps with unmolding.
- For extra richness, use all cream and skip the milk.
Flavor Variations
- Coffee: add espresso powder
- Coconut: replace milk with coconut milk
- Citrus: add lemon or orange zest
- Chocolate: melt chocolate into the warm cream mixture
Smooth, creamy, and elegant with very little effort.
