Ingredients
- 2 cups milk powder
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tbsp ghee (clarified butter)
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
- Optional: chopped pistachios or almonds for garnish

Instructions
- Prepare the pan
Grease a small tray or plate with a little ghee. - Cook the mixture
In a nonstick pan, heat ghee on low heat.
Add condensed milk and regular milk. Stir well. - Add milk powder
Gradually add milk powder while stirring continuously to avoid lumps. - Flavor it
Add cardamom powder and continue stirring on low heat until the mixture thickens and starts leaving the sides of the pan (about 5–7 minutes). - Set the barfi
Transfer the mixture to the greased tray and spread evenly. - Garnish
Sprinkle chopped nuts on top and gently press them in. - Cool and cut
Let it cool completely, then refrigerate for 30–60 minutes.
Cut into squares or diamonds.
Tips
- For richer flavor, lightly toast the milk powder in ghee before adding liquids.
- You can add saffron strands for a festive version.
- Store refrigerated in an airtight container for up to a week.
